Odisha Police constable recruitment 2021: Apply for 244 vacancies

Odisha Police has invited online applications for recruitment to the post of constables (communication). The recruitment process is conducted by the selection board. This drive is being conducted to fill up 244 vacancies in Odisha Police Signals Service. Out of these 81 posts are reserved for women. Initially the recruitment will be done on contractual basis. The online application process has already begun. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the posts till October 4.

Unreserved: 112 posts

Scheduled Tribes (ST): 67 posts

Scheduled Castes (SC): 42 posts

Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC): 23 posts

Eligibility criteria

i) Educational qualifications: Candidates must have passed 10+2 (higher secondary) examinations or equivalent examination in science with  physics, chemistry and mathematics or electronics or statistics or computer science or information technology conducted by the Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education or by any other recognised board or council; or passed the 3-year diploma course in engineering subjects approved/offered by State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training, Odisha or by All India Council for Technical Education/ University Grant Commission.

ii) Age limit: Candidates should not be less than l8 years and not more than 23 of age as on January 01, 2021. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government guidelines.

Selection process

The selection board will hold an open competitive examination in computer-based mode. Qualified candidates will then appear for physical standards and physical efficiency tests.

Application fees

Candidates, except SC and ST category, need to pay an examination fee of Rs 220.
