SSB to recruit 115 head constables

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), one of the central armed police forces (CAPF) under the administrative control of the ministry of home affairs, has published a notification for the recruitment post of head constable. It is a group ‘C’, non-gazetted and ministerial (combatised) post. The total number of vacancies is 115. Both male and female candidates can apply.

The post is temporary, but likely to be permanent. Selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India or outside the territory of the country.

The online application process began from July 24. Interested candidates can apply online for these posts through the official website of the force at ssbrectt.gov.in. The last date of online application form submission is August 22, 2021.

Salary

Pay level 4 which is Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100 per month as per 7th pay commission and other allowances.

Eligibility criteria

A) Qualification: Minimum class 12 pass from recognised board or university or equivalent.

English typing with minimum speed of 35 words per minute or Hindi typing with minimum speed of 30 words per minute on computer.

B) Age limit: Between 18 years to 25 years. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government guidelines.

Exam fee

Unreserved, economically weaker sections (EWS) and other backward class (OBC) candidates will have to pay Rs 100 as examination fee only through online mode. However, scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, ex-serviceman and female candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee.
