Bihar Police to recruit 106 SI and constable

Bihar Police has issued a recruitment notification inviting applications for the post of sub inspector (SI) and constable under sports quota. The total number of vacancies is 106. The offline application process has already started.

Eligible and interested male and female candidates can apply for these posts till August 9, 2021. Application forms can be downloaded from the official website of Bihar police at biharpolice.bih.nic.in.

Vacancy details

In two different advertisements, a total number of 106 vacancies have been notified by Bihar Police out of which 85 vacancies are for constable and 21 are for sub-inspector posts.

Salary

Police Constable: Payscale level 3 which is Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100.

Sub Inspector – as per Bihar government norms

Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification:

Sub-inspector: Graduation from a recognised university or its equivalent.

Constable: Minimum class 12th pass from recognised board or university or maulvi certificate from Bihar State Madrasa Education Board or Acharya certificate from Bihar State Sanskrit Board or equivalent.

Age Limit:

Between 18 years and 23 years as on July 1, 2021. There will be age relaxation for the reserved category candidates as per government norms.

Selection criteria

No written test will be conducted for the appointment of players. The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of sportsmanship skills, physical/health suitability of the candidates.

Application fee

For unreserved/ backward classes/ extremely backward classes/ economically weaker section candidates: Rs 700

For scheduled castes/ scheduled tribes candidates: Rs 400

Application process

Interested candidates can submit duly filled applications along with all related documents to the office of the Inspector General of Police, Bihar Military Police, Sardar Patel Bhawan, 5th Floor, B Block, Room No 510, Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg, Patna- 800023 on or before August 9, 2021.
