Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CSIR–CECRI), the country’s premier research and development institute in electrochemistry, has invited online applications for recruitment to the post of technical assistants and technicians. This recruitment drive will fill up a total number of 54 vacancies. Enthusiastic, motivated young and dynamic candidates with an excellent academic record can apply for these posts through the official website at cecri.res.in. The last date to apply for the posts is September 27, 2021.

According to the notification, selected candidates will be posted in CSIR–CECRI, Karaikudi or its units at Chennai or Mandapam and can be transferred to any of the CSIR labs or institutes anywhere in India. Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification:

i) Technical Assistant: Candidates should have first class in BSc in chemistry/physics/ microbiology/bio-technology/computer science/information technology/hotel management/mathematics with a one-year full-time professional qualification or one year experience in the relevant discipline from a recognised institute/organisation.

or

Candidates should have first class diploma in electronics and communication engineering/electrical and electronics engineering/electronics and instrumentation engineering/mechanical engineering/refrigeration & AC engineering/civil engineering/computer science engineering/ information tech of at least three-year full-time duration or at least two-year full-time duration in case of lateral admission in diploma courses or its equivalent with experience of two years in the relevant area/ field.

ii) Technician: Candidates should be SSC/ 10th standard pass with 55% marks and ITI certificate or national/ state trade certificate in respective trade or two years of full-time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognised institution.

Age limit: Not more than 28 years as on September 27, 2021. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government guidelines.

Total emoluments

Technical Assistant: Rs 50,448 per month

Technician: Rs 28,216 per month
