DRDO recruitment 2021: Apply for apprentice posts

The Integrated Test Range (ITR) of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has released a notification for recruitment to the post of graduate, technician (diploma) and trade apprentice under the Apprentices Act. The duration of apprenticeship is 12 months. Eligible candidates can apply for the posts through the official site of DRDO. Online application process will start on November 01, 2021. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online till November 15, 2021. Candidates can check vacancy details, qualification, age limit and other details below.

Vacancy details

This recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 116 vacancies. Take a look on post-wise vacancy details:

Graduate apprentice: 50 posts

Technician (diploma) apprentice: 40 posts

Trade apprentice: 26 posts

Eligibility criteria

Essential qualification will vary post by post. Candidates are requested to read the detailed recruitment notification.

As per notification, the fresh pass out candidates (passing their BE or BTech or diploma or BBA or BCom or ITI degree in 2019, 2020, 2021) only can apply. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination earlier than 2019 are not eligible.

Candidates with post graduate qualification are not eligible to apply.

Selection process

The selection of candidates will be made on the basis of percentage of marks secured by candidates at essential qualification level or personal interview through video conferencing for shortlisted candidates only.

Stipend

Those who will be selected for graduate and technician (diploma) apprentice post will get Rs 9,000 and Rs 8,000 per month respectively as stipend during the apprenticeship training. On the other hand, trade apprentices are also eligible for stipend as per government rule.

Application procedure

STEP 1: BE/ BTech/ diploma candidates must have registered their names at www.mhrdnats.gov.in and ITT candidates must have registered their names at http://apprenticeshipindia.org. For BBA and BCom, candidates registration is not required.

STEP 2:  Candidates can apply for these posts through the Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC) website of DRDO.
