Government to provide free food grains under PM Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana
The government will spend more than Rs 26,000 crore on this initiative
The Union government on April 23 announced that it has decided to provide free food-grains to 80 crore beneficiaries, under PM Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana.
Announcing the scheme, PM Narendra Modi stressed that it is important that the poor of the country have nutritional support when the country is facing the second wave of coronavirus. The government will spend more than Rs 26,000 crore on this initiative.
