How to link passport with Covid-19 vaccine certificate?

The vaccination drive has eased the process of travelling abroad amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. However, vaccine certificate is a must if you're planning to travel overseas.

India came with strong reaction on British rules and had warned UK on reciprocal measures on September 19, unless the UK addresses these norms while describing these norms against Indians as  discriminatory.

The Indian government has said that travellers eyeing a trip abroad must link their passport with the vaccination certificate. It will stand as a proof of your immunisation in a foreign land.

The Aarogya Setu App's official Twitter handle published a step-by-step guide to link one's passport details with vaccination certificates.

You have to visit http://cowin.gov.in and tap on the 'Raise a Issue' under 'Account Details'section.

From the drop down list, select the "Add Passport Details" option. This will redirect you to a different web page.

Select a member for whom you want to add the passport details. Next, enter the passport number of the selected member under 'Enter Beneficiary's Passport Number'option.

Tick the declaration box below and select 'Submit'option. You will receive the new certificate in seconds.

You can simply download the updated vaccine certificate with your passport number from the same website.

Click on the 'Certificate' button under 'Account Details' and download your passport-linked vaccine certificate immediately.

The negative aspect of October's growth was that it was Sinusoid with weekend peaks and weekday troughs. Passenger traffic peaked from Friday through Sunday and then started to dip, with the biggest on Tuesdays. 

However, entering the passport number and requesting name change can only be done once, so ensure there are no mistakes in entering these details.

In fact, you can also make corrections to your name, year of birth and gender on your Cowin vaccination certificates if inadvertent errors have come in. Just raise the issue on the website.
