This mark tells the purity of gold. This mark certification is given to pure gold by the Bureau of Indian Standards. That is, there is no question on the purity of gold with this mark. But many jewelers also sell non-hallmarked jewellery for profit. Beware of such jewellers. Apart from this, there are some indigenous methods too, by which you can easily identify the purity of gold kept in your home.

Dip it in water Real gold is easy to identify. You can easily identify gold by settling it with the help of water. When real gold is put in water, it sinks immediately, whereas if any other metal is mixed in it, it will not sink. It will float on the surface of the water. That is, you can find out with just a glass of water whether the gold you have bought is real or fake.

Magnetic effect Yo can also identify gold with a magnet. Real gold does not get attracted to the magnet whereas if it has adulteration then it will stick to the magnet. That is, from this you can know whether magnetic metal has been added to your gold or not.

Identify with vinegar Gold can also be identified with vinegar. Vinegar is available in almost every house. For this, put a few drops of vinegar on the gold. If your gold is fake then its colour will start changing, whereas real gold does not change colour with vinegar.
