Power Grid Corp recruiting apprentices across India

Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID), a ‘maharatna’ public sector undertaking company, has invited applications for the recruitment of trade apprentices. The training period will be one year. This recruitment process is initiated to fill vacancies in various trades for its 12 regions across India.

Eligible and interested candidates can apply for an apprenticeship through the official website of POWERGRID at www.powergrid.in.

This recruitment process will be done to fill the vacancies for the post of apprentice in 12 regions of POWERGRID covering different states across India. For more details click here

Eligibility criteria

Qualification:

1) ITI (electrical): ITI in electrical (full-time course)

2) Diploma (electrical): Full time (3-year course) diploma in electrical engineering

3) Diploma (civil): Full Time (3-year course) diploma in civil engineering

4) Graduate (electrical): Full time (4-year course) BE/ BTech /BSc (Engineering) degree in electrical engineering

5) Graduate (civil): Full time (4-year course) BE/ BTech /BSc (engineering) degree in civil engineering

6) Graduate in electronics or telecommunication engineering: Full Time BE/ BTech /BSc (Engg) degree in electronics or telecommunication engineering

7) Graduate computer science: Full Time BE/ BTech /BSc (Engineering) degree in computer science engineering and information technology

8) HR executive: MBA (HR) / MSW / postgraduate diploma in personal management / personal management and industrial relation (2-year full time course)

Age

The age of candidates for all these trades should not be less than 18 years.

Stipend

ITI apprentices: Rs 11,000 per month

Diploma apprentices: Rs 12,000 per month

Graduate apprentices: Rs 15,000 per month

HR executive apprentices: Rs 15,000 per month

In addition, Rs 2,500 per month in case no company accommodation is provided

Who are not eligible

Awaiting the results of their final examination.

Undergone apprenticeship training in any organisation for any duration.

Job experience of more than 1 year.

Selection procedure

Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification applicable to the respective trade.

Candidates should first register themselves on the website of portal.mhrdnats.gov.in or apprenticeshipindia.org, get a registration/enrolment number, and activate/complete the profile. After that, they have to apply for an apprenticeship in POWERGRID.
