Powergrid Corporation to recruit 137 field engineers and supervisors

Good opportunity for young and energetic job seekers. Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID), a ‘Maharatna’ Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) company, is inviting applications for the recruitment of field engineers and field supervisors. Through this recruitment process the company will fill up 137 vacancies. According to the notification, the recruitment will be purely on temporary and contractual basis for a period of 24 months initially or till completion of projects. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for apprenticeship through the official website of Powergrid Corporation at www.powergrid.in.

The online application window has already opened on August 13, 2021. Candidates can apply online till August 27, 2021.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates are advised to read the recruitment advertisement carefully for details on eligibility criteria.

Age: Upper age limit 29 years as on August 27, 2021. According to notification, candidates should not have been born before August 27, 1992 or after August 27, 2003.

Educational qualification:

i) Field Engineer (Electrical): Full time BE/ BTech/ BSc (Engg)/ BE (power engineering) in electrical discipline or equivalent from recognised university or institute with minimum 55% marks.

ii) Field Engineer (civil): Full-time BE/ BTech/ BSc (engineering)/ BE (power engineering) in civil discipline or equivalent from any recognised university or institute with minimum 55% marks.

iii) Field Supervisor (Electrical): Full-time regular 3-year diploma in electrical engineering discipline from recognised technical board or institute with minimum 55% marks..

iv) Field Supervisor (Civil): Full-time regular 3-year diploma in civil engineering discipline from a recognised technical board or institute with minimum 55% marks.

(Note: Higher technical qualification with or without diploma are not allowed for both Field Supervisor Civil and Electrical)

Salary

Engineer: Pay band of Rs 30,000-3%-1,20,000 with initial basic pay of Rs 30,000/- + Industrial DA + HRA + Perks at 35 % of basic pay.

Supervisor: Pay band of Rs 23,000-3%-1,05,000/- with initial basic pay of Rs 23,000 + Industrial DA + HRA + Perks at 35% of basic pay.

Selection process

Selection will be done on the basis of written examination and interview. The final merit will be drawn purely on the basis of performance in the interview.

Application fee

Field engineer (electrical/ civil): Rs 400

Field supervisor (electrical/ civil): Rs 300

Fee can be paid only online through net banking, credit or debit cards. SC/ST/ Person with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)/ ex-servicemen are exempted from payment of application fee.
