Railway Wheel Factory (RWF), a manufacturing unit of Indian Railways and situated in Yelehanka, Bangalore has invited applications for the recruitment to various posts of trade apprentices. A total number of 192 vacancies is to be filled up through this recruitment process. The application process is underway. The duration of training is 6 months to 12 months. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for this post on or before September 13, 2021.

Vacancy details

Out of the 192 vacancies of apprentices, the trade-wise breakdown is as follows:

Fitter: 85 posts

Machinist: 31 posts

Mechanic (motor vehicle): 8 posts

Turner: 5 posts

CNC programming cum operator: 23 posts

Electrician: 18 posts

Electronic mechanic: 22 posts

Eligibility criteria

– Educational Qualification:

i) Must have passed class 10 examination or equivalent with 50% marks from a recognised board.

ii) National Trade Certificate (NTC) from National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) in the concerned trade.

– Age Limit:

Between 15 years to 24 years as on September 13, 2021. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government guidelines.

Stipend

Fitter, machinist, mechanic (motor vehicle), turner, electrician, electronic mechanic: Rs 10,899 per month

CNC programming cum operator: Rs 12,261 per month

Application fee

Candidates are required to enclose an Indian postal order or demand draft from any PSU bank of Rs 100 as a processing fee. SC, ST and Persons with Disabilities and women candidates are exempted.

Selection procedure

Candidates will be selected for the post of trade apprentice on the basis of the merit list prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in the class 10 standard.
