Rakesh Jhunjhunwala’s Akasa Air gets permission to fly
The airline is set to begin its operation from the summer of 2022, with an endeavour to be the country's most dependable and affordable airline
Akasa Air has received a No objection Certificate (NoC) from the Ministry of Civil Aviation to fly, the parent company SNV Aviation Pvt Ltd said in a press release on Monday. The Rakesh Jhunjhunwala company will embark on a journey to offer Indian flyers an affordable travel experience, it said.
The release read, “Akasa Airline plans to offer flights across India starting in the summer of 2022 with an endeavour to be the nation’s most dependable, affordable and greenest airline”.
Critical transport system
Commenting on the occasion, Akasa Air, CEO, Vinay Dube expressed his happiness and gratitude to the ministry for the support and for granting the NoC. “We will continue to work with the regulatory authorities on all additional compliances required to successfully launch Akasa Air.”
He also added that Akasa Air’s robust air transportation system is critical for the nation’s progress, which helped them create a modern, efficient and quality conscious airline.
“Akasa Air will serve all Indians regardless of their socio-economic or cultural backgrounds with warmth, inclusiveness and respect. Because at the India, it is these qualities that connect people and cultures and help Indians realise their dreams,” he further said.
