South East Central Railway (SECR) has invited applications for recruitment to the post of apprentice in various trades. This recruitment drive is initiated to fill up a total number of 339 vacancies in Nagpur division of SEC Railway. According to notification, the duration of apprenticeship is 12 months. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for these posts through the official website on or before October 05, 2021. This recruitment drive will fill up a total number of 339 apprentice posts in SEC Railway. Out of these, 298 vacancies are for Nagpur division and the rest 41 will be done for Motibagh workshop of SEC Railway. Take a look at the post-wise vacancy details.

1) Fitter: 20 posts
2) Carpenter: 20 posts
3) Welder: 20 posts
4) Computer operator and programming assistant (COPA): 90 posts
5) Electrician: 40 posts
6) Stenographer (English)/ secretarial assistant: 25 posts
7) Plumber: 15 posts
8) Painter: 15 posts
9) Wireman: 10 posts
10) Electronic mechanic: 04 posts
11) Mechanic machine tool maintenance: 02 posts
12) Diesel mechanic: 35 posts
13) Upholsterer: 02 posts
Motibagh Workshop
1) Fitter: 20 posts
2) Welder: 20 posts
3) Stenographer (English): 01 posts
Eligibility criteria
Educational qualification: Candidates must have class 10 examination or its equivalent under 10+2 examination system with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from recognised boards and also process National Trade Certificate in the aforesaid trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training or State Council for Vocational Training as on September 6, 2021.
Age limit: Candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years as on September 1, 2021. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government guidelines.
Selection process
Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of merit list which will be prepared on the basis of percentage of marks in matriculation examination and ITI marks in the trade.
Stipend
According to notification, selected candidates will be eligible for stipend as per prescribed rates.
